Okay, so my boy passed me this fresh-ass piano beat that I'm trying to rip into.  I think what I'm going to do with this is do two separate audio tracks, one with my rhymes and one with my vocals.  If I can lay the two over top of the beat, I might be able to make it sound like I'm two different people.  Sounds complicated, but it might not be as hard as it sounds.  I'm gonna give it a shot and see how it sounds.  I just have to come up with like 3 verses to make this happen.  Something about oppression in rap and not having any room to fail.  The chorus sounds great, I think (I'm not that bad of a singer!)  Besides, it's the same thing over and over: I have no room to fail.  This might be a banger if I put my heart into this.  Let me get to it.  I'll post it later once I've got something down.

 Okay, so I got turned on to this new anime shit called Holy Gensis Aquarion.  Can we say Gundam meets "DAMN!"?  (I knew you could!)  This series, so far, is stunning, visually and storyline-wise.  It's like a suped up "Pilot Candidate", which, in my opinion, wasn't really a bad series to begin with.  Apparently, though, Adult Swim viewers thought differently (bastards!  I was watching that!).  Anywho, if you haven't checked out Aquarion, get on that.  Bad-ass CG sequences, gripping story, and interspered, but hilarious comedy make this a series to remember!

For those of you who care about such things, I'm trying to come along on this song I'm doing with Kanye West's/ Daft Punk's "Stronger" beat (YES, KANYE: WE KNOW THAT'S DAFT PUNK!  YOU CAN'T FOOL US OVER HERE!  WE WATCHED TOONAMI'S MIDNIGHT RUN AND, SUBSEQUENTLY, INTERSTELLA 5555!  WE KNOW WHERE YOU GOT THAT FROM!)  The route I chose to take was more of the inspirational route that I felt West should have taken (and not have defiled DP by making their second best song into a groupie theme)!  You know, on the whole "I've gotta get better at what I'm doing" tip.  Hopefully this comes out right and I can run to the studio and lay it down.  

You know I feel akward typing all of this like someone on LJ is really gonna read it!  I don't have any friends!  Robert, you need to work on that!

 This first entry is always the hardest one to write, isn't it?  I was talking to a friend of mine about some place that I could write down musical ideas and pitch them to people and see what they thought.  They suggested livejournal so I figured I'd give it a shot.  But, I suppose that out of sheer boredom, I'll be checking out other people's journals, too.  It's a give and take situation, I suppose.

Okay, current song stream: 

I've been really having it out with my girl.  She's not understanding my focus on wanting to move around and focus on school and my music.  She's so much of a homebody.  She loves to just stay in one place and take care of things there.  Me...I need to move.  I need to constantly be doing something.  And, it's not that I don't love her or care about her.  But, I can't just completely focus my life on her, ya know? 

I think I'm gonna pull off a song called "Loose Focus".  Just about trying to keep attention on all of the things that you need to keep attention on.  Lol!  I probably could set it to one of those Champloo beats.  The music from Samurai Champloo is so superb.  You know what? I'm just a sucker for anime music in general.  I'm a such a music buff.  But, there's just something about songs that have been crafted to fit in an anime series.  They're just...hot stuff, to say the least.  I'm not sure.  It's so hard doing these focused rhymes sometimes.  You have to direct the song the way you want it to go without loosing sight or track of your goal.  It's so hard to do.  But, I think I make it work most of the time.  Anyway, I'm about to shoot to class.  I'll get back at this later.
